É mesmo "LINTEL" - peça de pedra, madeira ou ou ferro que se coloca atravessada por cima da abertura de uma porta ou janela para formar a parte superior e suster a alvenaria, ex: "Na porta o lintel apoia-se nas respectivas alvenarias".
As ombreiras são laterais e este dispositivo para abertura da porta é montado na parte superior, ou seja, no lintel da porta!
