Acronym=GFI&String... |

ver abaixo a explicação técnica Explanation: A seguir, uma explicação técnica detalhada a respeito do funcionamento do GFI junction box: A 110 volt GFI junction box with light is used to provide additional outlets. Say you are outdoors and have an extension cord with only one outlet. You plug in a short ( 1 meter) cord into the extension cord. At the other end of the short cord is a box with maybe 6 outlets. Inside the box is a GFI. This is a Ground Fault Interrupter. It consists of a sensor that surrounds the supply cord and a switch. If the sensor determines that more electricity is going into the box than is coming out it will then assume that the lost electricity is leaking out through a person and into the ground. It will then turn off the electricity in order to protect the person. The light is there to tell you that the box is energized and that the GFI is not tripped. Bill Slugg. Márcio |
