v. S-au inventat rachete antitanc teleghidate, rachete sol-aer, (contra avioanelor) sol-sol (contra trupelor), sau aer – sol lansate de avioane. Acest ultim tip de racheta a fost cel mai bine vazut în direct la televizor in timpul Războiului Golfului (seria a I a in 1990.)

Despre racheta/proiectil: 'proiectil' e termenul generic, racheta fiind definita ca un fel de proiectil

dar nu viceversa. La fel, 'missile' este termenul generic, judecand dupa definitie:

1. an object or weapon for throwing, hurling, or shooting, as a stone, bullet, or arrow.
2. guided missile.
3. ballistic missile.

In plus, si 'rocket' este definita tot ca un fel de 'projectile'

Problema e ca 'racheta sol-aer' e termenul uzual, de aceea si se aproba de toata lumea, insa 'proiectil...', chiar daca mai putin folosit, e cel corect strict semantic vorbind, fiindca este incorect sa traduci un termen generic printr-o subclasa a sa.
