Nu cred că e vorba de camerele parlamentului aici. Se referă pur şi simplu la parlamentarii mai în vârstă, deci mai experimentaţi.

neutral  Dan Marasescu: În cazul ăsta o fi mai mulţi născuţi în aceeaşi zi :D Sensul la care te referi tu se traduce în română prin "decan de vârstă".

Explanation:
senior se refera si la civil servants, pt ca parlamentarii de rang inalt, fie ei si "decani de varsta" (desi nu poate fi decat un singur decan de varsta!) nu pot fi pusi alaturi de niste simpli functionari. Pt functionari se folosesc si expresiile "functionari superiori" sau "inalti functionari", dar aceste adjective nu merg din pacate si la parlamentari
