"Deed" nu există la noi; e un document autentificat şi înscris în Cartea Funciară (Register of Deeds, în SUA), prin care, în sens restrâns, se tranferă dreptul de proprietate, iar în sens larg poate fi: "powers of attorney, commissions, patents, and even diplomas".
În textul de faţă fiind vorba de un project manager, înclin să cred că este vorba despre un comision din vânzare, prevăzut într-un act legalizat şi înscris ca un drept în cartea funciară.

Payments often will be calculated on the basis of a percentage of the goods sold. A collateral warranty is a contract which gives a third party rights collateral to rights in an existing contract entered into by two separate parties.
For instance, an architect is appointed to design a block of flats for a developer. That developer intends to sell the block of flats to a Housing association. Due to Privity of contract the architect would normally only be contractually liable to the client should defects arise. The collateral warranty establishes a contractual relationship between the Housing association and the architect against defect.

Asta pare să fie situaţia în cazul de faţă. Managerului de proiect, pentru a intra într-un contract de garanţie cu terţul cumpărător, i se oferă o sumă de bani sau... "by the deed". Mă întreb ce altceva ar putea să i se ofere decât un comision din vânzare?

disagree  IonutU: Este improbabil ca un comision de vanzari sa fie inscris in Cartea Funciara. Iar un Project Manager are rar are atributii in vanzari ...

  -> Toate aceste "deeds" sunt înscrise în Cartea Funciară, şi chiar dacă project managerul nu se ocupă de vânzare, tot poate fi recompensat cu o cotă parte. În lipsă de context, mie mi se pare singura variantă care are sens.

  -> Nu a fost cea mai potrivită alegere, recunosc. Pe www.dictionarfiscal.ro însă, comisionul este definit astfel: Renumeratie pentru intermedierea sau executarea unui serviciu; suma de bani cuvenita comisionarului, in baza contractului de comision.
