English term or phrase: brace of basins+
Below is a description af a bathroom tha I have some trouble translating. I would be very grateful if you you provided an explanation orv a translation into Russian of the phrases in bold face. Thank you.

Bathrooms were filthy places. They were never those wonderful powder-blue pleasure domes that you saw in American films, with a BRACE OF BASINS and a soft, high rainbow of velvet towelling stacked into a RATTAN OBELISK: the sort of bathrooms where the soap never got wet and and nobody splashed, WATER HAVING BEEN DISPLACED BY MOISTURISER IN peachy and opulent POTS, AND THE SCENT CAME IN CRYSTAL PHIALS too huge to handle.

Have a nice day!

Hi!
Please see the translation below. I had experience of translating two cinema scenarios, which also is not something easly...

Here you might catch the scent of irony. I have not capitalized the translated places since you could get the sense of these places yourselves. Of course, it is a pure literature and translation very depends on the sense of the whole work.

Have a nice translation!

Explanation:
In thus context, "a brace" seems to mean "a couple"; and "a basin", "a bath-tub". As for the "pots", the described sort of them may need a more poetic word than "таз". Probably, a less specific "сосуд" would be better. The translation of the whole final phrase is "духи приносили (?) в хрустальных фиалах". The translation of "came in" depends on what is meant - if it was literally brought in when needed, then "приносили" is o.k.; if it was ready in the bathroom, then "приносили" is to be replaced with "были" or, better, "стояли". Happy if helpful.
