"Что вы сказали?" Explanation: Hm...let me add a bit to my previous answer. the equivalent of "say what?!" in Russian is "что-что?" (shto-shto?), while "what did you say?" translates as "Что вы сказали?" (Shto vi skazali?") or "Что ты сказал?" (Shto ti skazal?") depending on whether you refer to one person (ты) or several (вы). The first form may be applied to one person too when you are talking to a stranger or officially (polite form). |
