English to Russian translations [Non-PRO] Art/Literary
English term or phrase:You are what you are when you're not alone
I want to know how to speak Russian and German, and i want to see if these professionals can translate my term
Explanation: If close to the text, Ты - это ты, когда не один./Ты - это ты в обществе. (Ty - eto ty, kogda ne odin. or Ty - eto ty v obshchestve.
Personally, however, I would not translate it literally and would suggest "Chelovek poznayetsa v obshestve".
German: Du bist du, wenn nicht allein. But German is not my native tongue (Russian is), and I suggest you asking the question in the English>German subcommunity.
