Высокомерный тон был уместен Explanation: Pat - это еще и кличка ирландцев, но вряд ли в 13 веке, так что, пожалуй, уместно pat перевести как уместный :) |

...хорошо владеет этим заносчивым тоном Explanation: [Она] хорошо владеет (или овладела, умеет/умела пользоваться) этим заносчивым тоном To have something "down pat" is to be have learned it well, have good command of it. I don't see any need for refeneces since it's a common expression. |
