English term or phrase: capitation reimbursment
What's the Russian for this phrase' The context:
In this era of cost containment and the growth of capitation reimbursment, economic considerations may contribue to an increase in this practice.
Thank you in advance.
Dimo
списочные (социальные) дотации (организациям)
Explanation:
Again, could not find the exact translation, but here are some additional considerations.
'Capitation' can be rendered with the word 'spisochny'. 'Podushny' has very limited collocation capabilities (nalog, podat'). Na cheloveka is too general and does not imply those enrolled in an entity. 'Spisochny' does, and is quite widely used (follow http://www.mosstat.ru/pm.htm for examples).
As for reimbursment, I think the best equivalent in Russian will be 'dotatsiya':
ДОТАЦИЯ
1. государственное пособие гражданам и организациям для покрытия убытков или других целей; доплата
2. сумма денежных средств, выделяемая из бюджета предприятия, у которого затраты на производство и реализацию продукции не покрываются получаемыми доходами, а также на поддержание относительно низких розничных цен на отдельные товары, реализуемые населению.
CR helps bring down entity's expenses, thus, keeping costs low ('costs containment'), thus raising competitiveness of products/services, which is crucial in the era of the global economy.
At the same time, CR keeps the living standards high.
Individual reimbursment, or compensation, addresses only the second issue, and does not provide for lowering company's expenses. While it is more effective for individuals, 'economic considerations' are left out.

компенсация, исчисленная в определенной сумме на человека/подушная компенсация

Explanation:
strangly enuough, not only I failed to recover the phrase in bilingual dicts, but also in English native search engines ;-((
So, I guess you can translate it literally.
Mine is based on analogy with
capitation grant дотация, исчисленная в определенной сумме на человека
capitation tax подушный налог
where capitation is исчисление, производимое из расчета на одного человека
and reimbursment is 1) возвращение (суммы) 2) оплата 3) возмещение, покрытие

компенсационное страхование

Explanation:
В подобной фразе, по-моему, наиболее подходящим будет такой вариант ("В наш век компенсационного страхования итд").

возмещения, исчисляемые на каждого человека (подушно)

Explanation:
В нашу эру сдерживания затрат и роста возмешений, исчисляемых на каждого отдельного человека, экономические соображения могут оказать содействие росту такой практики.

платежи на душу населения

Explanation:
платежи на душу населения
platezhi na dushu naseleniya

“Capitation” is a fee or payment (such as a tax) of a uniform amount for each person. In fact, it is a derivative of the Latin word “capita”, meaning “head”. In this case, we have “capitation tax”, which is translated into Russian as «подушный налог». “Capitation reimbursement” is «подушный налог», according to ABBYY Lingvo 6.0, and among its the most common English synonyms are “poll tax” and “head tax”, all of which are translated into Russian only as «подушный налог» (podushniy nalog), according to my dictionaries.

However, I don’t think that what is meant in your context is exactly the poll tax; rather than that, it is a certain cumulative amount per person. Of course, the best translation will always depend on the context; nevertheless, I would like to propose mine:

В современную эпоху, когда имеют место сдерживание затрат и рост платежей на душу населения, экономические соображения могут оказать содействие росту такой практики.

Regards.
