NOTE: есть выражение, trigger price (триггерная цена), мне кажется данный контекст коррелирует с этим выражением, но в форме глагола (ИМХО).
С другой стороны термин "триггерная цена" - сам по себе по самостоятельный термин, а в контексте глагольной конструкции "to trigger the futures price" может быть маслом масляным. Поэтому не исключаю, что глагол "to trigger" используется в самостоятельном значении отдельно от "trigger price".
