Перевожу пользовательское соглашение Интернет- магазина. Раздел о доставке товара.

Следующее предложение:

If you have specified a recipient who is not you for delivery purposes (for example as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them (or at that delivery address if signed for delivery option has been selected) is evidence of delivery and fulfilment by XXX Company, and transfer of responsibility in the same way.

Общая идея ясна: если получателем указан другой человек (напр., когда товар покупается в подарок), то его подпись является подтверждением факта доставки и исполнения обязательств Компанией, и дальнейшая ответственность переходит к нему.

Не совсем понятен смысл и формулировка фрагмента в скобках: "or at that delivery address if signed for delivery option has been selected" - какая-то странная конструкция предложения.

Смысл: или подпись лица по указанному для доставки адресу?

Hi

Im reletively new to selling on ebay - but currently Im of the mindset that I should always use signed for delivery, which basically adds an extra £1 to the postage.
