English term or phrase: translation of names
Please advice, about personal names or names of the places from English into Russian.

I saw some translators put the name written in English after its translated Russian counterpart, like this Робин Голдберг ( Robin Goldberg) and some did not. What would you belive is the right way?

Explanation:
Displaying the original English spelling of personal names, geographic names, etc. in brackets or in footnotes is a good practice because the reader may need to know the original spelling to find additional information. Especially when the reader wishes to search for that name on the Internet, the right original spelling can be vital. It is also important to give the original names of books, articles, and other sources of information that are mentioned in the text being translated. The reader may want to find and study that material. The same is true when the translation is from Russian to English. :)
