Я бы не стал все-таки переводить CEC как Комитет по клиническим исследованиям, так как задачи CEC связаны со слепой оценкой клинических явлений и показателей.

В то же время английские дословные аналоги Комитета по клиническим исследованиям имеют совсем другие задачи, связанные с оценкой программ и участников клинических исследований.
Вот два примера:
1) The Clinical Studies Committee will have the primary responsibility for carrying out evaluations for clinical faculty members and determining whether a clinical faculty member's performance warrants a recommendation for reappointment.

The CEC Core Lab provides an independent, blinded determination of trial endpoints or events, a critical factor in the acceptance of the results by the FDA and the academic and medical communities. The CEC facilitates a timely review of cases identified as having potential endpoints, and is directed by Dr. Sorin Brener. The CEC process is coordinated by a CEC Research Nurse (CEC RN) with a support infrastructure of Research Coordinators.
