English term or phrase: hanging on the back of a chair
I'm looking for the intransitive meaning of hang (to be hanging) and the correct preposition (на?). Would this correctly be translated as Would на спинке be more appropriate here?
C Becker
Explanation:
the back of a chair is always 'spinka'
na is absolutely correct.

It's difficult to help you translate part of a sentence (especially with
an -ing construction), as it can be
translated in several ways

E.g. пиджак,который висел на спинке стула (a jacket hanging on the back of the chair)

Explanation:

If something is hanging on the back of a chair, then it is said,
