English term or phrase: SRM/BioRad Bias% Testing
Always run linearity standards before commencing with SRM/BioRad testing.
Allow all levels of SRM/BioRad solution to equilibrate to room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
Press [SAMPLE].
At the [ENTER ID] prompt, sample ID may be entered if needed.
Press [ENTER].
Wait until the sipper comes to complete stop.
Immerse only the sipper tip just below the fluid surface ( ~ 3 millimeters) in the tube.
Press the [SAMPLE] button.
The sipper will aspirate the sample and the instrument will display a reading in 30 seconds.
3 Quality Assurance Bias% acceptable criteria
The final bias% acceptable criteria are set at 3%.
Compared the YSI reading data of each level with the NIST SRM/BioRad reference data and calculated the bias% by the following:
Bias% = (YSI reading data / SRM or BioRad reference data - 1) x 100
