Fresnel fringes are optical diffraction phenomena. For example, if you shine a light beam against a plate with a very small hole and record the light distribution (the “image” of the hole) on a photographic medium (or with a digital camera) behind the plate, you would not—as might be expected—get a perfect, small bright “disk” on the photograph. Instead, the edges of the disk are
blurred and consist of one or more concentric rings that extend both inside the illuminated image of the hole and in the dark space around it. These are Fresnel fringes.

А световой пучок, проходящий сквозь их изображение («зонную пластинку»), сойдется в точку. Кольца Френеля представляют собой простейшую голограмму – голограмму точки.

А вот в ссылке 2 "Эти кольца получили название зон Френеля:" т.е. большой разницы нет.
