То ли это primary control program , то ли вариация program pointer (в тексте такой упоминался, и поведение PCP чем-то его напоминает).
(Еще была мысль о вариации center point, по аналогии с tool center point, да TCP употреблялось совсем рядом, но это вряд ли , т.к. речь явно не о железе, а о софте).
