Explanation: UF must stand for User Friendly retentate obviously derives from retention - удерживание, сохранение; способность удерживать, сохранять (retention period — срок хранения) Syn: conservation I found that abbreviation v/v can denote volume to volume. Supposedly w/w then means weight to weight, but I think they both can denote simply volume and weight respectively in relation to the volume and weight of other substance, or to the whole. HTH |

Величины v/v% и w/w% показывают степень (коэффициент, процент) удержания компонентов при их разделении на проникающий и удержанный в объемном (v/v) или весовом (w/w) выражении. massovyi procent ili ob'emnyi procent Explanation: When prepare a mixture of two liquids with different densities, the percentage can be culculated using weight of the parts w1*100/w1+w2 or thier volume v1*100/v1+v2. In this case, UF retentate is a liquid mixed into the juice (also a liquid). For abbreviation you can use cyrillic g/g% or L/L% (sorry I do not have cyrillic font on this computer). |
