Though my polytechnical comprehensive dictionaries do not offer the translation of the whole combination, the meaning 'technology' is the most appropriate among the 5 versions for 'engineering', becuase we exclude 'machine-building', 'projecting', etc. Moreover, seminars often deal with modern technologies and their sales, so this is the solution. |

metallicheskyaya technologiya Explanation: I would suggest this by analogy tio the normal term for chemical engineering, chimicheskaya technologiya (Oxford Russian Dictionary, s.v. engineering) . As is pointed out in other answers, the sense here is of the science of metal composition and their appropriate uses. |
