Naš kolega Simon Johnson dao mi je ideju da obrnem njegovo pitanje, jer se sa takvim slučajem relativno često susrećem. Naime, kako biste na srpski/hrvatski/srpsko-hrvatski/bosanski preveli englesko Ms? Dakle, reč je o formi pristojnog oslovljavanja ženske osobe kojoj ne znate ni godine i bračni status. Ja uvek koristim g-đa. A vi?

Sa ovako ubedljivom podrškom dileme nema – gospođice su praktično proskribovane u pristojnoj komunikaciji, osim ako nismo 100% sigurni (a dama dovoljno mlada da ovakvo oslovljavanje ne shvati kao uvredu tj. aluziju na poduži samački status).

Asker: Znači, ako imamo da prevedemo tekst u kome su pobrojani učesnici nekog događaja: Mr A, Mr B, Ms C, Mr D, Ms E, to ćemo uvek prevoditi sa g. A, g. B, gđa C, g. D, gđa E. Sada sam tek proverila u Pravopisu da se skraćenica gđa piše upravo ovako kako ste napisali, znači bez crtice i bez tačke (g. ide sa tačkom).
