English term or phrase:back shortages
La frase va así:
If an overpayment has been made to a supplier with whom purchases are not transacted regularly, it is permissible to charge **back shortages**, damages, and defects against the next invoices processed for payment.
¡Gracias por su ayuda!
"An analyst at the Arizona Proving Grounds processes a $500 chargeback to a supplier for returned material and an analyst at Wayne Assembly inputs a receipt record to pay the same supplier $300 for material for which they received."
Tadzio: More context would be helpful, but based on the limited context - I read this differently, as a verb...it is permissible to "charge back" shortages, damages, and defects... i.e. deduct or apply charges against future invoices
