When self-overcoating, a thorough solvent wash with YTA910 is required after 24 hours even though maximum overcoating times are longer.

Es que hay una 'ventana'. Dentro de 24 horas se puede poner segunda mano sin poner disolvente. De 24 horas despues hasta el tiempo maximo se usa el lavado.
Tengo experiencia en la formulacion de pinturas.

'Self' seguramente fue un 'typo', un error tipogrAfico. Es posible que sea 'seal' o sellante. Revestimiento se puede reemplazar por recubrimiento o 'mano'.
