danza frenética Explanation: Hola. A hoedown is three things: 1.- a lively folk-dance (Shorter) 2.- a social gathering for dancing hoe-downs (Shorter) 3.- a word missing from my English-Spanish dictionaries. Not impressed. For meaning no.1, I believe the stress is on "lively" so I would go for "danza rápida" (i don't know how fast they go, if they really go hay-wire you could then use "danza frenética"): "auténtica danza rápida helena (helénica)" Also, I can think of one exact & gorgeous word for meaning no. 2: "sarao" (as in "sarao flamenco"). Olé: "fue un auténtico sarao helénico (heleno)" "auténtica danza rápida helena (helénica)". Hope it helps, love your text, cheers :) shorter oxford |
