English to Spanish translations [Non-PRO] Art/Literary
English term or phrase:Wiring signature
A spy has put an explosive in a picture frame.
"If you leave the picture frame in there, you will be giving investigators a guidebook of evidence, wiring signatures, explosive source..."
"You have been watching too much spy programs on television. Bomb makers know all about signatures. Besides, they have never seen this woman's work before."
Instalaciones eléctricas con huellas de distinción
Explanation: I know that this translation would be longer but this is what I would used if it was me.Cableado is not use in all Spanish speaking countries but everyone understands what a "instalacion electrica " means.
wiring: instalacion electrica, alambrado, cableado.
Signature: firma , huella. I preffer the second one since it is about a trace not a writing signature.
This is just a personal opinion and to give you some extra choices.
I hope it helps ;-)
Explanation: ... meaning that from the technical lay-out of the explosive device the person or technology that developed the device can be inferred.
Wiring=conexionado, putting all the parts of the device together
I also like "firma/rúbrica electrónica", proposed by Mireia.
