camino rehollado

Explanation:
Here\\\'s my interpretation:

In English, when we speak of \\\"well-trodden\\\" or \\\"run through\\\" roads or paths, usually we are referring to a beaten path- one that has been formed by the repeated passage of people/vehicles/animals, etc, and NOT a paved road/highway. I would refrain from using \\\"carretera\\\" and use \\\"camino\\\" instead because it sounds less developed. Then again, since you have the whole text, you\\\'ll know if that is appropriate or not. Considering this road runs through wooden houses in the mountains, I\\\'m willing to bet my interpretation is correct.

The best thing I could find to describe \\\"well-trodden road\\\" is camino rehollado. (Guided by Diccionario Anaya: pisar 1. tr. hollar, pisotear, patullar, repisar, rehollar. Repisar y rehollar hacen alusión a la acción repetida de pisar. Patullar es pisar con fuerza.)

I\\\'m not sure how that will sound to your ear, but hopefully the context I\\\'ve given will help you anyway.

Good luck!

"transitadas / discurrir "

Explanation:
"Estas carreteras bastante transitadas discurren entre cabañas de madera en las montañas"

Good luck
Modiaz

Well-trodden= transitadas, meaning many people have used this road

Run-through= discurrir, this is the specific spanish verb. Also, recorrer

trillados

Explanation:
Trillado tiene una connotación muy particular, que podría ser hasta peyorativa, pues indica algo gastado, viejo, pasado de moda. Por eso no me parece que se debiera aplicar a un camino.
