ver Explanation: I doubt you will find a Spanish term for this. Hypergrounding is simply connecting all the major units of the car together with grounding sized cable (4 AWG or larger). This is needed with the engine, for example, because the engine is somewhat electrically isolated from the chassis and frame with rubber motor mounts. The positive battery cable is connected to the starter which is mounted on the engine. The negative battery cable is oftentimes mounted on the chassis or frame. The creates a poor ground circuit and can affect electrical components. Hypergrounding is merely adding additional cables between the chassis, motor and frame, etc. Aftermarket kits are sold with the various cables and are called Hypergrounding Kits, what else. For the translation, you could use 'hyperground' with a short explanation in parentheses. |
