Ya siento poner tantas palabras pero por separado las entiendo todas. Sin embargo no entiendo qué significa esta frase.

Estoy traduciendo parte de un sistema de navegacion y música para coches. Es para España.

"output a switched 12v feed" aparece en esta frase: These new interfaces have the same principle as the non-CAN-Bus equivalents in as far as controlling the head unit from the steering wheel, however, they also output a switched 12v feed, illumination supply, reverse 12v and an analogue speed pulse.

La palabra switched aparece también en otra parte del texto pero esta vez dice sólo :
"there may not be a switched live or illumination"

Os agradecería cualquier tipo de ayuda... Tengo que entregar ya y no puedo aclararme...
