English to Spanish translations [PRO] Bus/Financial
English term or phrase:Pensions plans/insurance products/Hedge(for funds)
Here we go, once again i am stuck with my poor translations.
I found for pension plans = planos de jubilación
insurance products = corredor de seguros (this one sounds wrong)
Hedge = Seto (sounds wrong too!!) here i am trying to say Hedge funds (=particular funds to hedge a portfolio) could it be setos fondos?
I'll leave that to you!
Can you find better translations than me?
Thanks to the community!
Explanation: About insurance product. I think they are the advantages, all the services tha insurance company offers to you. So, it could be translated as: prestaciones del seguro (or something like that), because I´m not sure tha word Prestaciones is completely correct in this case.
Explanation: a hedge fund is an international money exchange trading fund, ie. an organisation which speculates about international exchange rates and trades currencies on a day to day, hour to hour basis. hedge funds have been known to have such power (and lack of ethics) as to manipulate international money markets and ruin national economies and currencies - i suspect that the Spanish term will mimic the English term. See: http://www.magnum.com/hedgefunds/spanish.asphttp://tinet.fut.es/~fllorens/tema9.htm
Explanation: Fondos hedge no son fondos compensatorios. Hedge se usa para muchos tipos de fondos que utilizan estrategias de inversión no convencionales y cuya prioridad es "minimizar el riesgo de inversión intentando producir retornos en cualquier circunstancia" (lo cual parece indicar que son poco éticos, como dice Paul... hasta dan escalofríos). La página de referencia explica todo sobre el tema.
Respecto al resto de los términos, coincido con Serena.
