I have to disagree with "Trixie" above. Bonds do mature. Los "Maduros" ("Futures" in English), are sold in commodity markets every day(i.e. oil futures). These are speculative investments. Jerry M. Rosenberg in his "Diccionario de Inversiones" says that: "Maturity" = vencimiento, madurez, fecha en que se debe y se adeuda un pagaré, giro, letra de cambio, bono u otro instrumento negociable. If the sentence above required a "legal" connotation, as in apromissory note, I would use the term "vencimiento", however, it seems to me that this term must be used with its finances connotation, as it refers to the stock and bonds market, therefore, I would use "maduración" as constructed above.
