Explanation:
en US, trabajo de tiempo completo es considerado 40 horas/semana. Cualquier cosa por arriba es sobretiempo, si el contrato es basado en pago por hora trabajada. Algunas companías, dependiendo del contrato y/o causa de sobretiempo, pagan 1 1/2 vez el salario por sobretiempo. Puede depender en el contrato, ya que si están en salario básico, no importa si sobrepasan las 40 horas, no les pagan nada más que el salario. Otros contratos son por medio tiempo, y el sobretiempo se basa en cualquier cosa que sobrepasa en lo establecido en el contrato (Por ejemplo, si tu trabajo es de 20 horas/semana, y trabajaste 25, aunque sean menos de 40 horas, esas 5 horas de más se pueden considerar sobretiempo si así lo establece tu contrato)
