empresas de internet, puntocom


Explanation:
"Empresas puntocom", o simplemente "puntocom" (plural) serían las traducciones más literales, que se utilizan con frecuencia en publicaciones españolas y latinoamericanas. No obstante, hay gente que prefiere una denominación más purista y utiliza simplemente "empresas de Internet" o "compañías de Internet".

Explanation:
dot.com es natural en inglés, pero éstos usos son ajenos a los hispanoparlantes. No porque los desconozcan o no los entiendan, sino porque no los usan.
En español solamente se usa decir "punto.com" cuando se menciona un sitio en internet; pero hablar, referirse a una empresa que además tiene un sitio en Internet como una PUNTO.COM. es algo que el idioma español no tolera o digiere bien.

Yo creo que lo más usual, al menos en latinoamérica es SITIOS WEB o EMPRESAS EN INTERNET.
