una puja demasiado costosa cuando los precios están bajando, puede poner en duda la solidez del control.
Si se trata de una adquisición, entiendo que reflexionan sobre la calidad del análisis previo, antes de pujar por una adquisición. Si este análisis previo falla y pagan por encima de mercado, esto pone en duda la solidez de toda la operación. Entiendo que quiere decir esto.

Está hablando de el disputar por quién va a mandar en la nueva compañía una vez ocurra la compra. El texto dice que si escogen el precio más alto los accionistas pequeños saldrán mejor, pero entonces solo las compañías más grandes tendrían el dinero para la compra y entonces no hay duda de quien va a "controlar" (la compañía con más dinero). Eso "obstruye la cuestionabilidad del control"

agree  snowdrop: No sé si existe otra forma de expresarlo,pero desde luego creo que esta es la idea que más se acerca al original. "Contestability" no puede traducirse de ninguna manera como "solidez".
