Explanation: A fullfilment operation is one which sends customers their orders which are received at another location. Catalog companies have warehouses that are located strategically throughout the U.S. for instance who expedite orders even though the paper or internet hard copy is received in a central location which handles the credit card billing or payment in other forms. In some instances the merchandise is not actually available until the order is received and then the company that is selling the merchandise places the order with the manufacturer and it is then shipped out from their "Fullfilment Operation Center" and you are none the wiser that the vendor you bought it from didn't have it on the premises. (note the term"allow 6 weeks for delivery".) This process puts the burden on the manufacturer to pay for warehousing and not the seller you ordered it from. Sorry for the long explanation but it is a fairly new method of merchandising and is widely used for all kinds of goods. If you were an importer you would use this method to limit your costs. Hope this helps even if it is after the fact. Aw
