I don't think ferritorio is a misprint but the border is made of "fierro" or "hierro" that means iron, like the railroad crossing.
That's the idea, I'm sorry that my english isn't good enough to precisely translate this wordgame.

Perhaps "ferritorio" refers to "ferry". You know, those big ships which transport people and cars


Explanation:
over short hauls. In Spanish they're calle "ferries", and I've heard of "cruce de ferries", but never "ferritorio"...
