equity= invested capital Explanation: I think the problem here is to distinguish between capital as such and capital invested in non-interest bearing areas, so "capital market" not specific enough. [Example, a guy has a car which he bought for a deposit of $800 plus monthly payments.He says "I'm willing to let it go for $800 if you take over the installments, just so as I recover my equity" It's a fine distinction in English, so I won't be surprised if other languages have to borrow the english term. |
