Observa las siguientes definiciones del Diccionario de la Real Aacademia

"Avalista"= persona que avala

"Aval"= "Firma que se pone al pie de una letra u otro documento de crédito para responder de su pago en caso de no efectuarlo la persona principalmente obligado a él"

"Avalar": "Garantizar por medio de aval"

En el lenguaje coloquial, a veces se pervierte el empleo de la palabra "aval" para denotar al "avalista", pero en rigor, no conviene confundir la "firma" que se busca (el aval) con la persona que va a avalar (el avalista).

Así pues "colateral provider"="avalista"
