English term or phrase: take ownership of the customer
This is one of a company's mision statements. It doesn't have any other context. I need some help finding an idiomatic Spanish expression for "take ownership" in this particular context. Thanks in advance!
Ignacio
Spanish translation:Conquistar al cliente....o al mercado
Explanation:
Most mission statements have to express to which market they are oriented to.
It's quite common to find the word customer in English. When those mission statements get translated they use the word market.
To take Ownership is not a property right to the market. It's just an expression of their aim to gain a sizable market share for their products or services or their willingness to satisfy customer requirements. Let's keep in mind that mission statements are based on their marketing strategy and/or quality goals.

Hacerse con el cliente

Explanation:
En España, es habitual decir 'hacerse con el', cuando se gana la confianza de alguien.
Si quieres algo más informal, puedes decir "meterse al cliente en el bolsillo".
Suerte.

hacerse responsable para satisfacer al cliente

Explanation:

Espero poderle ayudar. Buena Suerte!!
