estrategia de reserva [o, resguardo]
Explanation:
It appears that "back-out" strategy is a measure and a term used in business systems as a form of reserve precaution or safekeeping in moments of difficulty..that allows a company to "back-out", without losing face.

There are numerous examples of the use in English...but NONE in Spanish.
See: http://www.usenix.org/publications/library/proceedings/lisa9...

I sincerely suggest:
1) you use the term in English: "estrategia 'back-out'"...with an explanation in Spanish in parenthesis, or,
2) Use my direct translation as: "una estrategia de reserva [o, resguardo]".

Hope this helps you:-)
Saludos..

estrategia de repliegue

Explanation:
Algunos ejemplos:

http://www.el-mundo.es/navegante/98/octubre/13/gates.html
