Recubrimientos
El Pentaeritritol se usa en la fabricación de resinas alquídicas que, posteriormente se utilizan en pinturas decorativas y de protección industrial. Estos recubrimientos, se distinguen por su mayor viscosidad, poder de dilución, resistencia a la intemperie y a la humedad. Otras ventajas importantes son : excelente brillo y retención del mismo, dureza y durabilidad de la película, rapidéz de secado y buena brochabilidad.
Como poliol, mejora notablemente las características de los ésteres de colofonia usados en pinturas, barnices, lacas, adhesivos y masillas.
