agree  Gilberto Diaz Castro: Correcto, el contexto habla del estudio de la exposición a XX producto/material/residuo en el ambiente laboral. Se entiende de dicho contexto que si se ingiere/absorbe/ se está expuesto a dicho material por largo tiempo éste se acumula y puede ser tóxico.
