En el texto flashing es tapajuntas, pero acá no entiendo el sentido. Gracias!
That's the problem with this sentence, I don't get the meaning. As you wrote, it could simply be that the seam tape needs to be waterproofed. In fact, maybe I got too deep into this simple sentence. Have a nice day, M
Hi Marianna, I'm not really sure what's going on in your text, but since "flashing" is a verb here, I think it might simply mean "sealing" (creating a watertight seal). As you've already mentioned, you've been given the term "tapajuntas", so I think you could probably use "sellar la junta" in this case.
no había encontrado esta definición para flashing, ¿está hablando de impermeabilizar la cinta autoadhesiva para juntas? uuups, it sounds pretty strange, creo que deberé consultarlo con el cliente!

Reference information: Flashing (weatherproofing)
Flashing refers to thin pieces of impervious material installed to prevent the passage of water into a structure from a joint or as part of a weather resistant barrier (WRB) system. In modern buildings, flashing is intended to decrease water penetration at objects such as chimneys, vent pipes, walls, windows and door openings to make buildings more durable and to reduce indoor mold problems. Metal flashing materials include lead, aluminium, copper, stainless steel, zinc alloy, and other materials. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flashing_(weatherproofing)
