Tampoco me queda claro si el "for what" que aparece tiene valor causal.

A Woman Under the Influence began life not as a proposed film but as two separate three-act play scripts, one drafted in the summer of 1971 and revised up through September of that year, the other drafted in February and March of 1972 and revised up through July of that year, for what Cassavetes ultimately hoped would be a two-evening theatrical event in which the plays would be mounted on successive nights.
