English term or phrase:knuckle roof
One example of a special roof that XXX air raised was a *** knuckle roof *** for a Standpipe with a center riser. Air raising the roof was chosen over build in place, but the center riser presented an interesting problem. The solution to this problem was found in this manual by using current air raise procedures with some slight variations.
The basic air raise details that were used for this *** knuckle roof *** were the Across the Tank, Under the Roof Leveling System with Metal Seals. The variations due to the
center riser were offset leveling cables and an extra seal located in the middle of the roof around the center riser. By following the procedures and enlisting the help of YYY
the air raise was a success.
Explanation: Knuckle Roof appears to be another name for a Mansard Roof in Britain or a Gambrel Roof in the US. It has two slopes in each of the four elevations, the lower slope almost vertical and the higher slope almost flat. If you could get the layout plan it would be easy to be more exact.

Explanation: El contexto parece describir la operación de izar una cubierta o techo para un tanque, mediante presión de aire. Es un procedimiento bastante común para la erección de silos para cereales o depósitos de combustible de gran porte como los usados en las refinerías.
