Thanks, Raul. I agree that the basic meaning is provided in the source text, and with those who correctly reinterpreted this as 'headrest'. The possibility of a typo for 'headliner' hadn't occurred to me, and Gilberto and Margret's call for research and clarification is entirely professional. Still, the (very) brief context appears to me to refer exclusively to safety equipment in a vehicle, so that I continue to lean toward Marisa's interpretation and her suggested translation. This is pending my own effort to research 'head leaner' as a part of the conversation. Your linguistic refs will help me a bit, as there are options on the term as it stands in the query! :)

I agree with Richard in that this text could be a translation by a non native English speaker. But if you go to dictionary you can find an at least aproximate meaning, see 2 below:
lean [leen]
verb (past and past participle leaned, present participle lean·ing, 3rd person present singular leans)
1. intransitive verb bend or incline: to be in or move to a position that is at an angle to the vertical
2. transitive and intransitive verb rest something or be supported: to rest against or on something for support, or rest something against something else

Tienes toda la razón, Gilebrto! No se me había ocurrido lo de "head liner". Podría ser cualquiera de los dos - en ambos casos erróneos!

Margaret tienes razón. Aunque no entiendo lo que una cosa tiene que ver con la otra en el contexto (cinturones y el tal head leaner) pero los autos si tienen un "headliner" pero no "head leaner". Es necesario aclaración con más contexto para saber.

Gilberto, yo diría que, tal y como ha comentado Richard, el texto es una mala traducción al inglés de algún otro idioma. También diría que, por lo menos en este contexto, "head leaner" should be "headrest", and I doubt that a "head leaner" as such exists

My Request for Clarification entry is intended only to give you a heads-up in case you didn't realize that this is not a native-speaker text, in my opinion. Especially, '...the amount of passengers...' is not normal usage - I hesitate to say that it's not a possible expression among native English speakers. Likewise, '... passengers that transport...' is unusual if not impossible. I'd suggest that the source text is a reeasonable translation to English by a non-native service provider, and that you could understand other apparent mysteries in this light, as you translate.

Is the source a previous translation from some other language? Better check with your client due to grammar and English terms. I agree that Marisa's interpretation is correct, due to the context, and I amply confide in her suggested translation.
