I know that this term has been discussed before, but I am looking for a term specific to MEXICO.

A cooktop, unlike an "oven" or a "range", is a kitchen appliance consisting merely of a flat slab containing burners, which is installed into a hole that is cut out in a kitchen counter. There is no oven below, just a flat surface for cooking. It could have old-style coil (resistance) burners, gas burners, or sealed burners beneath ceramic glass.

What is this called in MEXICO?
