Aunque ya cerraste la pregunta...


Explanation:
te depende si tu texto es en inglés británico o americano. "Entrée" quiere decir en USA lo que respondió muy bien Oso; el plato principal de una comida.

Sin embargo, la palabra es francesa y significa como pensaste en un principio "entrada", o sea, el primer plato de una comida que tiene varios. Es con este sentido que se emplea en el inglés británico.
