Need help with this sentence, particularly the para about, "telling the temperature to the nearest 5 degree." By the way, is it "degree" or "degrees"

Maria will be able to tell the temperature to the nearest 5 degree using a celsius and fahrenheit thermometer in 3 out of 4 trials.

Yes, it's "degrees", not "degree". Personally I would put the "in three out of 4 trials" between "degres" and "using". In Spanish also.

Eso, en caso de que María sea una niña de unos 5 años y lo logre esas 3 de cada 4 veces una una fracción de segundo. Tendrá un "IQ" de 150.
