Acabo de hacer una investigación en Internet y encontré que "GT" en documentos escolares hace referencia a estudiantes con necesidades especiales, en este caso, por ser alumnos superdotados y talentosos. Puedes ver en el texto que copio abajo "GT teacher" y más adelante "gifted and talented".

Así:

Perdona mi tercer agregado pero es que acabo de encontrar en Internet, buscando justamente \"estudiantes superdotados\" un sitio español de un instituto cantábrico dedicado a jóvenes superdotados. Su título está en español y un renglón más abajo incluye su traducción al inglés: \"gifted and talented\"! De allí estimo que la traducción al español debe ser simplemente \"superdotados\".
