English to Spanish translations [PRO] Energy / Power Generation / power generation
English term or phrase:looking downstream
Investment comes at a price; I’ll come back to that. Who pays for the investment? I guess that’s what that one is about. O.K. Demographics. There is a big debate about population. WEC is not a population specialist, but we do see a tapering off of fertility rates, we do see changes in the market in many parts of the world, in terms of the overall population growth, and therefore energy requirements, ***looking downstream***. There are enough people. There are six billion now, we’re going to have 8 billion by then, but the UN used to claim it had 10 billion, by 2050. So there is an adjustment going on, the Aids problem in Africa, other difficulties, there is a lowering of the fertility rate, for a whole bunch of reasons, we don’t expect as high a population growth.
